Atkinson Hall Policies and Procedures (UCSD, Calit2)
In Fall 2005, the Calit2 staff took occupancy of the new building, Atkinson Hall. The new building includes facilities such as clean rooms for nanofabrication, digital theaters for new media arts and scientific visualization, test and measurement labs for circuit design and wireless communications, and much more. At full capacity, the building is home to researchers, artists, engineers, students and staff, representing more than 20 departments across the campus.

Role: In my position as Manager of the Project and Event Support Unit, I was responsible for establishing and implementing policies and procedures pertaining to the use of the facilities for events in the new building. Further, I was the staff lead for the Public Spaces and Events Divisional Council Subcommittee, which is a group of faculty whose charter was to provide guidance on the management and operation of the core specialized facilities in Atkinson Hall.

I developed this online web portal as a resource to the Calit2 community. The website provides detailed information and resources such as the room capacities, available equipment, room diagrams, photos, reservation request form, policy documents, audiovisual instructions, and more.

Atkinson Hall Usage Agreement (Contract Form / Policies & Procedures)

I established the general policies and procedures for facility usage, and created the Atkinson Hall Usage Agreement, which is a contract that each user must complete before holding an event in the specialized facilities in the building.
Administrative Intranet (UCSD, Calit2)
The Calit2 Administrative Intranet is a password-protected website that has many valuable resources, such as reference documents, useful links, and an internal staff calendar. The website also has a team building section where staff can share recipes and book recommendations.

Role: I designed this Administrative Intranet because I saw a need for convenient document sharing. In particular, the site is intended to be a resource for new employees.

Miva Merchant Support FAQ Online Database (Miva Corporation)
Miva Merchant is a leading e-commerce software solution for small businesses.

Role: I created an online problem resolution database. Since many of the customer support inquiries were similar, this website provided an efficient method for the support technicians to find answers for frequent errors, problems, and questions. I created this interface using a customized version of the Miva Merchant software itself.
