These students were affiliated with Calit2 either through the Graduate Student Fellowship Program or the Undergraduate Scholar Program. {October 25, 2004}
Role: I served a leadership role in the overall logistics and marketing for this highly-successful event. |
|
Calit2 Student Spectrum (Online Database) |
| I assisted with creating an online student database. This useful tool allowed our industry partners to search for students whose research aligned with their company objectives. The goal was to contribute to their recruitment efforts so that students affiliated with Calit2 might find employment and internship opportunities. |
| 8th Annual Re-Shaping Healthcare Conference (UCSD Extension) |
| The Annual Re-Shaping Healthcare Conference is designed for healthcare executives, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and the business community. {September 27, 2002}
Role: I was the lead organizer for this large conference. Although, this was the 8th year for this conference, the records provided to me from previous years were very limited. I introduced many new processes that would streamline the planning for future years, such as the creation of a Microsoft Access database to track registrations for individuals and organizations. |
| College Night (UCSD, Cal-SOAP) |
| The purpose of the College Night event was for high school students to explore college choices, to gather information on admission policies, and to learn about financing a college education. Representatives from more than 100 local, state and national universities participated in this annual event.
Role: In addition to assisting with the overall logistics for the event, I took the initiative to create an information website about the event which never existed in previous years. I also created a Filemaker Pro Database to streamline the management of registrations. |
