PROJECT MANAGEMENT
| BioNet Research Project (UCSD, Calit2) |
| BioNet was a cooperative program funded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). The program sought to improve the ability of a major urban area in the United States to manage the consequences of a biological attack on its population and critical infrastructure by integrating and enhancing disparate military and civilian detection and characterization capabilities. {July 2004 – July 2005}
Role: I provided general project management and high-level support for BioNet throughout the duration of the research project. BioNet was a fast-paced effort that was completed within a one-year timeframe. My responsibilities consisted of duties such as preparation of presentations and reports for the Design Reviews, coordination of meeting schedules and agendas, submission of weekly reporting requirements to the sponsor agency, document management, budget management, website development, equipment procurement, inventory tracking, and coordination of equipment deployment to field sites. |

BioNet System Architecture Report (Sample Pages) |
| I contributed to the preparation of the BioNet System Architecture Report, which was the final project deliverable for Calit2. This was an extensive report that consisted of numerous complex tables, charts, and diagrams. |
BioNet Project Website (Document Repository) |
| I developed a password-protected website to serve as a document repository and enhance information sharing among the project participants. This provided an efficient and secure method for file sharing and collaboration. |
| Re-Entry Program for Nurses (UCSD Extension) |
| The Re-Entry Program for Nurses is an important program designed to prepare nurses to return to practice and recent graduate nurses who wish to solidify their skills. The course includes reviews and updates on current models of care, physical assessment, medications, lab values, acute care emergencies, communication, and technical skills.
Role: My responsibilities consisted of serving on the initial planning committee to establish this new program, arranging the course instructors, assembling the program course materials, coordinating student enrollments, and handling all communication with the students and hospital sites. |
